By moving processing to the Edge, we ensure that no video footage ever leaves the sensor. The city gets the data it needs—crowd density, flow rates, anomaly detection—without ever holding personally identifiable information (PII). This isn't just a technical upgrade; it's a new social contract for urban technology.
